Henry "Indiana" Jones, Jr.

  • S-Story? Um... Okay, okay. Well, heh... It all started... once upon a time... when this village of stupid blue-eyed boys decided to join hands together and follow this sweaty little Pied Piper named "Adolf".
  • I'm retiring.
  • Too many Nazis.
  • Speaking as an ancient? Going to the moon is like going to Reno. In the middle of nowhere, and... no blackjack.
  • Whatever I did, I apologize.
  • Lady, it’s an ancient hunk of gears. Half a hunk.
  • Archimedes was a mathematician, Baz, not a magician!
  • Oh, Baz. I never should've given you the thing; it-- It belongs in a museum, so gi-- give it to me. Please...
  • My memory's a little fuzzy. Are you still a Nazi?
  • His daughter selling her soul for bail money!
  • I don't believe in magic, Wombat, but a few times in my life, I've seen things. Things I can't explain. And I've come to believe it's not so much what you believe, it’s how hard you believe it.
  • I should've retired you when I had the chance!
  • Nobody memorizes every page of their dead father's notebooks for the money.
  • Under the moon, life lies at her feet.
  • I fought the Nazis, you know!
  • So, who is it? Churchill? Ike? Who ya gonna kill to win the war?
  • I don't know where we're going, Jurgen, but it sure as hell ain't 1939!

Helena Shaw

  • Dad told me you found something on a train during the war. A dial that could change the course of history.
  • Indiana Jones, back in the saddle.
  • I've seen things too, Indy. The only thing worth believing in, ever... is cash.
  • Sorry, pal, but you're a Nazi!

Jurgen Voller

  • The Antikythera's power is not supernatural. It is mathematics. Whoever harnesses it will not be King... nor Emperor... or Fürher... He will be God.
  • And are you enjoying your victory?
  • Things move forward, Doctor Jones. And sometimes... they go backward.
  • Mathematics works. As it conquered space, it will conquer time.
  • You've already lost your son, Doctor Jones. Your wife is gone. Do you really want to lose your godchild? For what? A world that no longer cares about men like us?
  • History's greatest moment... its end.
  • History is a long list of losses, Doctor Jones. It's just a question of whose.
  • Yesterday belongs to us, Doctor Jones.

  • Colonel Weber: ...And how do you propose we tell him this? 'My Fürher, I'm sorry the Lance of Christ is fake. But here... is half of something you've never heard of.' Tell me. Have you ever MET HITLER?!!
  • Marion Ravenwood: Someone told me you were back. Are you back, Indy?

Dialogue

Indiana: I thought I told you to stay in the woods, Baz.
Basil: What sort of a man hides in a hedge while his friend is facing death?

Basil: [Archimedes] could predict fissures in time.
Indiana: "Fissures in time"? Baz! You can't prove that!
Basil: Well, no-- not yet!
Indiana: Proving it is what makes it science!

Indiana: You stole it!
Voller: And then you stole it.
Helena: And then I stole it -- it's called capitalism.

Helena: What if you could go back in time? What would you do? Witness the Trojan War? Check in on Cleopatra?
Indiana: I'd stop my son from enlisting.
Helena: Did he sign up to please you?
Indiana: No, he signed up to piss me off.
Helena: Well, how would you have stopped him?
Indiana: I'd tell him he was gonna die. I'd tell him that his mother would... find no end to her grief. And that his father would be... helpless to console her. And that the loss would put an end to their marriage.

Helena: I have said it before, and I will say it again! When you're in a tight spot... dynamite.
Indiana: My friend was just murdered!
Helena: ...sorry.

Helena: Sell this thing and we are out of the hole and then some! I have just the customer, cranky old Dutchess in Gibraltar--
Indiana: This is going in a museum.

Teddy: I just thought we were in this for all the wrong reasons!
Helena: We are. Most assuredly.

Helena: You're not moving.
Indiana: I'm thinking.
Helena: About?
Indiana: About what the hell I'm doing up here, forty feet in the air, with crap shoulders, crumbling vertebrae, plate in one leg, screws in the other...
Helena: Yeah, I get it, I get it.
Indiana: No, you don't get it. You're half my age. You haven't been forced to drink the blood of Kali...
Helena: No, fair enough.
Indiana: Or been tortured with voodoo. And I'm just guessing, but you haven’t been shot nine times, including once by your father.

Indiana: Get in the pool!
Helena: Why? Help me open the door!
Indiana: Well, they didn't get out the doors!

Indiana: What kinda Nazi kills the Fürher?
Voller: The kind that believes in victory, Doctor Jones.

Voller: Fasten your seatbelt, Doctor Jones. There might be some turbulence.
Indiana: You're German, Voller. Don't try and be funny.

Indiana: What are you doing here?!
Helena: Rescuing you!

Helena: How's the shoulder?
Indiana: Better than my jaw.
Helena: Right.
Indiana: You should've let me stay.
Helena: I couldn't do that.
Indiana: Why not?
Helena: Well, for starters, you'd have changed the course of history.
Indiana: Is that meant to be a bad thing?

Marion: That looks bad. Does it hurt?
Indiana: Everything hurts.
Marion: I know how that feels.
Indiana: Well... Where doesn't it hurt?
[Marion points to her elbow.]
Marion: Here. It doesn't hurt here.
[Indy kisses it. Marion points to her collarbone.]
Marion: And here...
[Indy kisses it. They pull back, then kiss on the lips.]
